Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ

When Jesus Christ was on the earth, He founded His Church. After His death, and the death of His Apostles, a few of the precious teachings he taught and his sacred authority was lost for a short period. This is known by the name of The Great Apostasy.

It was the beginning of spring in 1820 the young man Joseph Smith prayed to God with immense desire to be saved by his soul, and to decide what church he should be a part of. God as well as Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph and began to guide him to restore (or bring back) the valuable knowledge and authority that had disappeared to the Christian Church that Jesus Christ formed while on the earth. The Lord’s guidance was the reason Joseph Smith organized The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the 6th of April 1830.

By the grace by the grace of God, Joseph Smith translated an old record that was that was written by prophets who lived across the American continents, and who were able to teach and witness about Jesus Christ. The record, which dates back to the beginning of time, is known as “the Book of Mormon and stands in the same way as the Bible as a further proof to the fact that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Lord of all mankind.
