Zamel’s is a brand that offers quality jewellery at affordable prices. Zamel’s has developed a variety of exclusive collections such as Hush and Tensity, Tensity, Eclipse, Tensity, Tensity, and Eclipse over a range of Jewellery categories like Rings, Earrings Pendants, Wrist-wears, Pendants, and Pendants. Zamel’s offers a variety of diamond jewellery through its enviable collections from the World – New York and London Collections, as well as some highly regarded Watch Brands.

Zamel’s has been making great memories, spreading joy and trust for over 60 years.

1954: Lily & Philip Zamel open their first store at Cooma in New South Wales. This was during the heyday of the Snowy Mountain River Scheme, when construction of vital dams was underway.

1960: With a growing family Lily and Philip decide to move to South Australia to explore growth opportunities. The 1st Zamels Jewellery was opened by the City of Elizabeth, just north of Adelaide.

1961: Philip opens an Elizabeth Gallery gift instead of operating a Celebrity Coffee Lounge in the area.

1965: The Zimel family opened new Jewellery shops in growing areas like Parabanks at Salisbury and Tea Tree Plaza at Modbury. The company’s real growth began at this point. Lily & Philip sold Elizabeth’s Gift Store to focus on the sale of file jewellery. The company grew into a genuine jewellery business that sold precious stones, gold, silver and diamonds.

1965-1987: During these years of growth, the family opened stores in many locations throughout the state, including Grenfell Street. Then they moved to Rundle Mall in the middle of the central business district.

1988 – 2005: The company was operating in Adelaide well, so the Zamels Family began looking for new areas to expand. They first considered Perth, Western Australia (1988), and Victoria (1990). In September 1998, the Zamel family expanded into Tasmania. The company opened its first store in Canberra, ACT, in March 1999. The first Queensland store opened in 2005.

2006: Zamels, now a well-known national brand, launches “Hush” its Jewellery Collection. It is one of the first to offer a complete range of Diamond Stimulant Jewellery in 9karat Gold.

2007: Private Equity Purchases Zamels Jewellers

2009:Zamels unveils its Men’s Jewellery and Watch Collection “Tensity”, in all of its stores.

2011:Zamels is made a member of an International Diamond entity. This will allow Zamels to be one of the few Jewellers to have direct access to Diamonds from Mine to Market.

2012:Zamels “The Diamond People”, now “The Diamond People”, launches Australia’s largest Solitaire Collection, featuring a range of Preferred, Classic and Signature Solitaire Diamonds.

2013-2015:Zamels unveils a prestigious Diamond Jewellery Collection featuring contemporary designs that are inspired by the major cities of the globe – New York, London and Paris.

2021:Zamels Jewellers celebrates its 61 brilliant years of creating memories and trusting others, as well as spreading happiness
